Local Lakes Fishing Report

Rich text headline

Warm-water: As the temps get cooler, warm water fish will look for large meals to fatten up for the winter. A minnow imitation such as a mini dungeon or leech pattern such as a woolly bugger are excellent choices right now for bass. For conventional tackle, small swim-baits fished near grassy cover and small crayfish lures fished near rocks are excellent starting points. Diving and twitching Rapalas are also an excellent choice for fall fishing.

Cold-water: Cold water lakes, both in the Wyoming Prairie and Colorado front range, have been fishing very well. The fish know winter is coming and have been eating everything in sight! Streamers are a great choice for hungry fish! For conventional tackle, inline spinners and small jigs are the best bet.
